The Vintage Dog began with a simple belief:
Loving dogs means loving them for their whole life.
A Note From Our Founder
For years, I opened my home to senior dogs through adoption, fostering, and hospice care. I celebrated their victories, mourned their losses, and witnessed the incredible resilience that comes with age and a little extra love.
Time and time again, I watched incredible older dogs get overlooked simply because they needed a little more care. It broke my heart knowing that so many dogs still had so much love to give, yet were being passed by because of their age.
I knew they deserved more.
That's why I created The Vintage Dog.
Our mission is to help senior dogs write their next chapter through compassionate medical care, comfort, and unconditional love. We believe every senior dog deserves to feel safe, valued, and deeply cherished, surrounded by people who see their worth through every season of life.
Caring for the Dogs Who Need Us Most
Our 401(k9) Retirement & Medical Fund makes that mission possible.
Every donation helps provide the veterinary care, nutritious food, comfortable beds, medications, enrichment, and everyday comforts that allow the dogs in our care to live with dignity, security, and love.
Whether a dog stays with us for years or only a short time, we believe every day matters.
Looking Beyond Rescue
Rescue is only the beginning of our vision.
We're also developing programs like the Old Souls Legacy Project (coming soon!) to help families create a plan for their beloved dogs before a crisis ever happens.
We believe planning ahead is one of the greatest gifts you can give your dog. It brings peace of mind to the people who love them and helps ensure they're protected, cared for, and never left without a plan.
Our Dream
Our dream is to build a community where senior dogs are celebrated, supported, and deeply loved.
Some dogs will find their perfect family. Others may spend the rest of their lives here at The Vintage Dog Headquarters, surrounded by comfort, compassion, and the feeling of finally being home.
No matter where their next chapter begins, every senior dog deserves the chance to write one.

Meet Our Founder
Amy's love for dogs has shaped every chapter of her life. Years in the rescue world and fostering strengthened her belief that every dog deserves to be loved for their whole life.
Her heart dog, Stellar—now 15 years young—inspired a deep passion for holistic canine nutrition and wellness after her own health journey revealed the incredible difference thoughtful nutrition can make. Together, those experiences became the foundation of The Vintage Dog: a place where senior dogs are met with compassion, dignity, and the chance to write their next chapter surrounded by love.
She can't wait to connect with the community this organization will create shaped by our shared love for the oldies!
